Title: Art Young Exhibition
Post by: JavelinaHink on April 04, 2009, 01:18:00 PM
Art Young gave a Sportsman's show in Detroit,Mich. in 1930 from March 29th to April 5th at the Sportsman's Show, Convention Hall
He showed his motion picture from Alaskan Hunt.

The Sportsman's show attracted a large crowd to view the wonderful exhibits in the interest of out door life. With the many intresting things to look upon nothing attrac'ed more attention than the Archery Range set along the north side of the building.  To stimulate interest in the sport of archery a tournament was held during the week with about 25 contestants taking part.

QUESTION
Does anyone have the names of the 25 contestants that took part, maybe pictures from the show also.

And can anyone name the one Archer that shoots his arrow from a bow held in a horiztal position with the body bent half way to the floor. I have this name and he's not from the USA  :)
