Does anyone happen to know when these bows were made? I looked on the Ben Pearson catalogs shown at Archery Archives and could not find it listed. The model number is 1047. From what I saw in the catalogs, they went from 3 digit to 4 digit model numbers in 1968. A rosewood riser, correct?

WOW. LOOK AT THAT WOOD!
Really like the way the grain flows through the grip.

Any ideas when this line of bows was made?

Sorry, no info here. But Sovereigns were Pearson’s top-of-the-line bows. And it looks like you have a nice one!

Hi Selfbow, sorry to bump up an old thread, but these 1047's were made in 1965 and '66, maybe some other years, I don't know.
The Golden Sovereigns are listed separately from the the Ben Pearsons at the Archery Archives site. I'm not an expert or anything, but I just got a model 1048 and saw it on the same page as my bow. I'm searching for info about my bow and saw this thread, so I figured I'd pass it along just in case you're still wondering how old it is.
The '65 model was rosewood (I think there are typos @ archery archives, it says "roseool") and the '66 was made of treijo (which I guess is supposed to mean freijo?)
It is a beauty!ope this helps

The Sovereign Golden Knight was the same bow as the Ben Pearson Marauder. They both had the all rosewood riser as yours does. They also made the Mercury Marauder which had two mercury capsuals built into the riser. There was also a takedown model with the same takedown system as the Ben Pearson Signature takedown.
You have a very beautiful and sweet shooting bow.

I have stacked a Knight on top of a Marauder and the limb design is a little different but the risers are pretty close if not the same. Also after Sovereign bows became Ben Pearson bows this bow became the Ben Pearson BPH 30 #7348. Jim
