IF you could order any bow today what would it be?
Either a Border Black Douglas Swift with the latest greatest limbs or a Habu Viperkahn.
Tricked out Morrison Dakota with the new limbs.
There is a guy in Germany that makes some pretty fancy bows. I think they start at about $3000 USD.
Border Black Douglas would be pretty high up my list.
I'd say Rose Oak, but I have 2.
Voodoo Kustom Elk Riser or *Zipper Elk riser (not sure if still made).
The Kodiak Takedown I killed my first archery whitetail with.
Morrison Shawnee with Arapahoe limbs fully tricked out,Pine Cone in grip, Horn Overlays on tips and Riser,Limb veneers back and belly.
MORRISON CLASSIC LONGBOW OR LIKE TO TRY
LEON STUART SLAMMER
The new Stotler Gamegetter takedown
It is hard to get used to not be lusting after anything new let me tell ya'. But I am perfectly content with my ACS CX. :archer:
Dean Torges made osage selfbow or bbo for sure.
Bjorn, I hear ya. I have been blessed to be able to shoot my "dream bows". Never thought I would be in this position.
i'd love to have the bow Paul Schafer shot his Cape Buff with! often wonder where all his old bows are...
uummmm this one :biglaugh:

A Border Black Douglas would be high on my list also
Eric Krewson osage for sure.
A Choctaw by Jerry Pierce.
Denny Sturgis's Widow longbow.
shrew bow and a thunderstick thats all not asking for much. :biglaugh:
Have the privilege of owning a Pierce Choctaw that Jerry gave me. He was a great friend, and I still miss him.
The one dream bow I have would be a Torges BBO because of what I think of him. Won't happen, can't buy one, but a man without a dream is dead!

I think he's got it right, only for me, it's a Turkey Creek Longbow three-piece takedown.
And it's just the right bow for me and the next person may not like it, but it fits my needs perfectly.
43# @ 29" 63" 189 fps with 428 G arrow 125G head up front
Carl
I already have it, my selfbow :D :D :D
Ron La Clair Little Favorite left handed 46lbs.
Funny you should post this right now. My wife just told me to buy any bow I wanterd regardless of price. (Honest!) I've been looking at everything made by everybody and finally told her to go buy a new sewing machine or something because there's nothing out there that I think is better than what I have I really tried to find one but it would just be another bow that I have to figure out when to shoot. Oh, well.
I just bought one of my dream bows, Turkey Creek.
But I'd like to have a Shrew one day also.
ACS CX !!!!
One of my Dream-bows turned up today! :D :D
52" Shrew Classic Hunter 53#@28" Take Down.
Sooooooo smooth! :D :D (Wasa little concerned about my long draw, but it's fine!)
John Schulz' personal bamboo and yew longbow.
Dean's Baleen bellied bow. Of course, I'd return it after I killed something with it.
Blacktail Elite VL is on the top of the list for me.
V-Archer
Black Widow PLX- Cocobolo or Bacote
Blacktail Elite VL in macassar ebony and bocote flair and macassar veneers.
or a Robertson same flavor.
or a zipper same flavor.
or maybe a hybrid type bow.
I understand the question, all right, but if I could have any bow I want, then it probably would be "Old Horrible" from Saxton Pope himself - yes!
One of the short shrew RD longbows.
Jerry Pierce Choctaw.
I too would have loved a Jerry Pierce Choctaw; which would mean of course, that he knew me and I had earned it.
Another treasure would be a Jay Massey bow! Jay was patient and kind, when I called him on the phone 20 years ago, answering my beginning bow building questions.
Probably a Shrew Chameleon, or a PLX osage for me.
I think it would be either a Striker or one from Saxon.
I'd love to have my old Hill "King of the North" back, like a big dummy I sold it.
I have it already an RER Arroyo, but I would like a fully tricked out one!! Mine is nice though Pau-ferro riser with a stripe action boo limbs with Sapelle veneers. Shawn
It WILL be ANOTHER Widow. Once you've been owned by a Widow, there's no turning back!!!
Got it already! My 56" Osage/Zircote carbon RER Vortex.
If I could have any bow?.... It would be the first recurve my wife bought for me when we were up at Kittery Trading Post in Maine. That got me started in this Trad Stuff. I know who has it now. Maybe I can buy it back. Maybe.
... mike ... :archer: ...
When Ron was doing the limited edition Super Shrews....I wanted one so bad I would have sold my blood had anyone wanted to pay me for it.
Probably another Sheepeater from Black Mt. Bows and Brent. I've really enjoy shooting it this year. Only I'd add about 5 pounds to the weight.
I like the looks of the Dryad Bushwacker Bacote / osage .
Mike
Any bow? Easy...the LDB.
got a widow "ironwood" curve and waiting on my A&H ACS CX. the wait is killin me
The best shooting bow for me that I have found is the Double Carbon Centaur by Jim Neaves. Although for looks, I think the Rose Oak bows are the top. I haven't shot one of them but man are they pretty. Steve
A Cari-bow Tundra Wolf.
One of each :D :D :D :D :D
If I can't have that, then a Black Widow PTF.
I'd like a Shadow Mirage. I know they are not being made anymore but you said any bow. Second would be Shrew Samurai, 56" take down.
2 pc. ACS CX,
Gil
My dream bows are...3 Blacktails VL Elite TDs(they all are pretty in their own way, couldn't resist. Note to self: DON'T LOOK AT THE CLASSIFIEDS ANYMORE!!!), 1 ACS-CX, and a Morrison on order...I think the Morrison Cheyenne will stay in this group from the looks of it.
Make mine a Snakebit please...

Either one, I'm not picky.
#2 --My brother(older!)(Harold Couch) makes CUSTOM bows, one at a time, not a better lookin', shootin' bow I know of!
MY first choose would be the "Little Delta bow"
longarrow----Good Lord only gave me so many Sun Rises, I don't intend to miss a one!!
I love my bow. Ancient Spirits Thunderhawk 64"
I would like to have another one.
I gotta go with a JP Choctaw too!
Hmmm, still in search of the perfect bow. Guess I am addicted.
I'm with you fellows that would like to have the Jerry Perce Choctaw. Jerry built the finest bows I have ever seen.
I have mine on order: Kanati lonbow by Jason Kendall. I have wanted one ever since I shot my cousins old JK Traditions longbow.
I guess I'll be different, DAS Dalaa
Lefty...Blackwidow longbow... :)
I've had quite a few nice looking bows over the years, but I'm more of a hunter. So the bows I kinda lust after are pretty "Plane Jane" looking, but wolves in sheeps clothing.
Don't get me wrong, I like to look at bows as much as the next guy, but when I head to the woods I don't want to be to overly careful with the bow I'm toting if you know what I mean. Scratches and nicks are not a detriment, but rather character in my book.
That being said, I have several of Dave Sosa's bows that are flat out hunting weapons, and a couple of O.L.'s 3-piece longbows adorned affectionately in their "Alcoa Ebony" finish. Great bows for what I need them for.
But, if push came to shove, the bow I would like to try would be a Brackenbury Non-Typical, 64", 70# @ 29", with a 17" Walnut Dymondwood riser with a Low/Medium checkered grip, ply-boo and carbon core, with Walnut actionwood veneers. Mostly since I haven't tried one, and I think it would be a great hunting weapon.
I guess I am blessed as I have gone through more bows than I care to think about.......
But I have a herd of Silvertips that have all made the cut so to speak. I will not shoot any other bow.
Everyone of them is special in it's own way and they all are pure shooters.
I am always on the lookout for additions though...............
I'm in the lucky position to have been able to buy and try a lot of bows. I love my A&H ACS-CX and also own a Border Black Douglas both seem to be popular on this thread.
I think this is about the only bow I'm lusting after at the moment...

One with a string and no wheels. I like em all.
