There is a guy in Germany that makes some pretty fancy bows.  I think they start at about $3000 USD.

Border Black Douglas would be pretty high up my list.

I'd say Rose Oak, but I have 2.

Voodoo Kustom Elk Riser or *Zipper Elk riser (not sure if still made).

Have the privilege of owning a Pierce Choctaw that Jerry gave me.  He was a great friend, and I still miss him.

The one dream bow I have would be a Torges BBO because of what I think of him.  Won't happen, can't buy one, but a man without a dream is dead!

I think he's got it right, only for me, it's a Turkey Creek Longbow three-piece takedown.

And it's just the right bow for me and the next person may not like it, but it fits my needs perfectly.

43# @ 29" 63" 189 fps with 428 G arrow 125G head up front

Funny you should post this right now.  My wife just told me to buy any bow I wanterd regardless of price.  (Honest!)  I've been looking at everything made by everybody and finally told her to go buy a new sewing machine or something because there's nothing out there that I think is better than what I have  I really tried to find one but it would just be another bow that I have to figure out when to shoot.  Oh, well.

I too would have loved a Jerry Pierce Choctaw; which would mean of course, that he knew me and I had earned it.

Another treasure would be a Jay Massey bow! Jay was patient and kind, when I called him on the phone 20 years ago, answering my beginning bow building questions.

If I could have any bow?.... It would be the first recurve my wife bought for me when we were up at Kittery Trading Post in Maine. That got me started in this Trad Stuff. I know who has it now. Maybe I can buy it back. Maybe.

The best shooting bow for me that I have found is the  Double Carbon Centaur by Jim Neaves. Although for looks, I think the Rose Oak bows are the top. I haven't shot one of them but man are they pretty. Steve

My dream bows are...3 Blacktails VL Elite TDs(they all are pretty in their own way, couldn't resist. Note to self: DON'T LOOK AT THE CLASSIFIEDS ANYMORE!!!), 1 ACS-CX, and a Morrison on order...I think the Morrison Cheyenne will stay in this group from the looks of it.

I've had quite a few nice looking bows over the years, but I'm more of a hunter.  So the bows I kinda lust after are pretty "Plane Jane" looking, but wolves in sheeps clothing.

Don't get me wrong, I like to look at bows as much as the next guy, but when I head to the woods I don't want to be to overly careful with the bow I'm toting if you know what I mean.  Scratches and nicks are not a detriment, but rather character in my book.

That being said, I have several of Dave Sosa's bows that are flat out hunting weapons, and a couple of O.L.'s 3-piece longbows adorned affectionately in their "Alcoa Ebony" finish.  Great bows for what I need them for.

But, if push came to shove, the bow I would like to try would be a Brackenbury Non-Typical, 64", 70# @ 29", with a 17" Walnut Dymondwood riser with a Low/Medium checkered grip, ply-boo and carbon core, with Walnut actionwood veneers.  Mostly since I haven't tried one, and I think it would be a great hunting weapon.

I guess I am blessed as I have gone through more bows than I care to think about.......

But I have a  herd of Silvertips that have all made the cut so to speak. I will not shoot any other bow.

Everyone of them is special in it's own way and they all are pure shooters.

I am always on the lookout for additions though...............

I'm in the lucky position to have been able to buy and try a lot of bows. I love my A&H ACS-CX and also own a Border Black Douglas both seem to be popular on this thread.

I think this is about the only bow I'm lusting after at the moment...
