Title: Going to be in Colorado
Post by: Dustin Waters on December 05, 2007, 10:13:00 AM
Our company is planning a ski trip to colorado during presidents weekend.  Due to some college sports injuries I cant ski but was wondering if there is anything to hunt this time of year in Colorado and where I might be able to find a place to hunt around the WinterPark area.  I was just thinking small game or something.  Anyone in that area have any details they could pass along to me?
Thanks Dustin

Dustin, there is plenty of National Forest around Winter Park and bunny season is open through February BUT there is normally several feet of snow on the ground in that area.

There may be some snowshoe hares in the area.  Will you have access to a vehicle?  There are some areas within an hour or so that may be a little easier for bunny hunting.  Any shot in the deep snow would likely be a lost arrow.  Tramping around in snowshoes would definitely get you some exercise.
