Title: Broadhead ID,

My father gave me his mint Bear Grizzly and several arrows from the late 60' early 70's.  My desire is to eventually take a deer with his old set-up. Can anyone ID what type of broadheads I have. They are three blade heads of some sort, as you can see one has small holes in the ferrul the other does not.  Any tips on getting them sharp would also be appreciated.  I have fiddled with them some, but I am shapening challenged and have not come up with anything acceptable (the ones pictured are not ones I have worked on and are in pretty tough shape)
If anyone would like to take a crack at them, I could pop them in the mail, and would pay or trade you for your time.

The first one with the glue holes looks like a Bod-Kin A with notched lam from the mid 50's and the second is a Hi-Precision from the early 60's.
The bow is a beauty !

Burnsie - D.Sheppard is correct about the ID of the heads. Actually the black head on the left was made by the Bod-Kin manufacturer for Herter's. This is not a well known fact as I have not previously documented it in detail. In "Broadheads 1871-1971 Identification and Rarity Guide, Third Edition", there will be several different models of the black heads like yours that will be categorized and shown with the other Herter's broadheads. Not really a rare head, but previously not recorded accurately.

Thanks guys, watched Charlie Lamb's sharpening video and have been making some good progress getting them sharpened.
