I'm new here and was told about Trad Gang from some members on another board I use. Nice place. I've been looking for some info on a bow I have and haven't been haveing much luck. I have a Bear Victor Magnum takedown that I cant shoot anymore becuase of a shoulder injury. I've been thinking about selling it and was wondering what it's worth. It's lefthanded, #60@28" AMO 60" length. The limbs on it are straight and it still makes full pounds. It's in great shape. It's camoed right now but was originaly a green riser with black laminated limbs. It was built in 1971 in Grayling Michingan. I bought the bow in 1979. Any ideas?
Thanks

So.....it's an A or B riser? And magnesium? What are the limb #'s?
A good way to determine value is to search thru the COMPLETED sales on 8bay....

It's an "A" riser I believe. It has aproximately a 3 3/4" sight window and the overall length of the riser is 16". Yes it is cast, I thought I had posted that originally but I guess not. By "limb #'s" do you mean draw weight? Its a 60lb'r. If thats not what you meant they are 22" in a straight line from butt to tip. They are black with red lamintated tips and I think they say "FasCor" or FastCor" on them. I tried searching **** but couldnt find a bow of the same type listed in completed or current listings.
Thanks

Bear Mag TD's generally run in the 200-300 category.
The serial number for the riser should be stamped on the tang in the upper limb pocket.. It will start with A,B or C. That of course is the riser model as well.
The serial number for the limbs will start with 1,2 or 3, and likewise that is the length of the limbs.
A riser and #3 limbs make a 60" bow as does a B riser and #1 limbs
The limbs should be marked with the draw weight for the various risers as well

Tim,
did you had a look into this threat (http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=14;t=001551;p=1) already? Might not solve the value question for you, but has lots of info on your bow ...
60# red tip limbs sounds nice. I might be interested in a set of #2's in that wheight ... post some pics for us please.
