Title: Quiver Choices????
Post by: bowdog1 on December 04, 2007, 09:06:00 PM
Getting new(used) 60" one peice recurve in a few days. Always shot take down drilled and tapped for bolt-on quiver but new bow has no provisions. I know I can have it drilled and tapped later, however, I want to hunt to February with a quiver attached and dont know the best option. I shot friends bow w/quiver that slid onto limbs but after a few shots, the lower gripper would pull the broadheads from the head. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

if you asking for quiver suggestion I really like the Great Northern adjustable. It's very light and hold arrows well.

if you asking how to stop the gripper from pulling the arrows out of the foam then maybe try to slide the gripper up higher twards the handle where the limb is not working...

Your friend probably didn't have the quiver pieces slid far enough up the limbs and onto the riser fadeouts.  They shouldn't move if they're pushed tight enough into the riser.  Lots of good slide on or strap on bow quivers around -- Selway, Thunderhorn, Great Northern and others.
