Title: Here's a good one for ya
Post by: TRAP on February 13, 2009, 09:55:00 AM
item numbers 320340203552, 220359858136, 320340211516

This is kinda funny, Check out the bid history of these three bows.  It seems bidder t***r with 272 feedbacks has a real love for this seller's bows considering 98% of his bid activity has been with this seller. Seems he likes both RH and LH bows also.

We've had discussions about shill bidding in the past.  This one seems fairly obvious to me.

Be careful out there boys and girls, Trap

Oh yeah we talked about the guy's doing that stuff. You know what just cracks me up about them.Well there are at least 3 I know of anyhow. But the dumb SOB relists the bows 1-2 months later.I emailed the one guy and asked him if that was the bow he had listed the month before and I wanted to bid now again to try and win the bow but I needed to know why the first buyer returned it.He told me to go FU%$# myself and pulled the auction.I felt really bad for exposeing the guy's scam for about 2 seconds. That shill chit might have worked on wallstreet but it don't cut it on the TG...bd

Trap -

Thank you for the tip-off. Here are a couple that you missed: 320340216302, and 320340221659. And, going back a ways: 220338210546.

I sent this info to the "house"; let's see what they do with it.

I recall this same seller had a bunch of bows listed last summer.  The brick background and the nice angled shot of a strung bow, Kinda catchy!!

The guy was selling KMags and KHunters and they were all selling for a bunch more than the market was bringing at the time.

This case is pretty blatant.

If everyone would take 5 minutes to file a report he'd perhaps get suspended.

I know of a couple reports that have been filed already.

I know we can't be the "Morals" police and I've heard it said that "alls fair in love and bow collecting" but this is rediculous.

Why not start a sticky thread listing some of these sellers?  We list the scam artist that try to sell here, why not call out the ones on other sites as well.

Recently a mid 70's Bear takedown wood riser blue, red and white with chrome latches sold for 1,500.00. I listed mine and the highest bid was 400.00. What does that tell you about these guys. No shill bidding on my auction and the highest bid was 400.00.

Well...what I've seen on **** since they changed with the ID's on who's bidding, they don't care as long as there getting listing fees and final value fees they can keep on listing the item, there not out anything, there making money. Before thay would have to act on certain thing ...not anymore...at least thats what I've seen when I call them out on something,,,just my 2 cents about it.

I'm curious....help me out here, please.  I was runner up bidder on item # 120375913925.  I'd like to know what code 8bay uses for me....when I bring up the bid list in my browser, it just shows my user name.
Thanks,
Tom I.

Seems these auctions have hit a bit of a stall  :biglaugh:

Hmmmm,  f***r hasnt been nearly as aggressive a bidder has he?

Maybe someone can now get a "fair" price.
