Got one just like it.
The give away was the "9"
However, it ain't rosewood. Misleading title
-
Sure is dark for not bein Rosewood.
Are the tips on the 61 same as the ones on the 62, only green and white instead of gray and white. The 69 has more squareish tips, or is that not relevent?

Kenny
I think it is sheduah. Not sure.
I know bear quit using rosewood and bubinga afterthe '65 Kodiak. They did use rosewood caps on the 68 & 69 Super kodiaks
Now, I can't guarantee tht Bear may have made a few with rosewood on special orders, or maybe a few in regular production because the had a few chucks of rosewood available. I mispalced my Bear CD, but I'll bet that if you check the Kodiak Magnum in the 69 catalog, it ain't rosewood.
