Awesome barn
D,
What are the claws(?)from
Kurt
-
Those are turkey "claws" Kurt. We refer to them as spurs out here in the Midwest ;)
Trap
-
That pair of sheds hanging with the wingbone call are some heavy hitters.
-
Trap.. I thought those were spurs. That represents a lot of turkeys on the ground. Congrats..that is a neat way to display them..bhfp
-
Cody-I've been to that place too.It was pretty coolto see and totally unexpected.
Trap-I really like the way you have your "man-cave" decorated.Alot of really interesting stuff.I also like native American items and you sure have some cool stuff.I liked the spur necklace too.Nice job.

Trap, the rack of Kodiaks, 8th and 9th from the bottom, what year? (I'm showin my ignorance)
Also, is that "my" 61 K-mag front on the right?
What an outstanding collection you have Sir!

Hello John, Man I wish I knew the name of the farm it's down by Jackson I think.....

Thanks fellas, I didnt realize I'd be the only person posting pics. There's much bigger collections of bows and animal parts than mine for sure. Hope we get to see some others.
Kenny the 8th bow up is a 59 Kodiak and the 9th is a Holcomb 59 Repro and yes that's your 61 KMag hanging vertical in the front. I actually considered selling it recently and was going to contact you but Bjorn talked me out of it.
I'll soon have the missing piece of my 1954-1962 Kodiaks puzzle. Not sure where I'll go from there. 51-53 maybe? 63-66? Kodiak Specials? 64" Kodiaks? Fun isnt it?
Don those sheds came from a recently burned field in NE Kansas. They were laying about 15 yards off of the road about 10 feet apart. I'd driven by them a half dozen times during a 3 day period when I finally saw them.

Cody,I don't remember the name either but it is near Jackson. We stopped there last year to check out the albino deer and the bucks we saw from the road.Cool place. We were heading down to Jerome to pick up some venison we had processed.
-
I have pics of that Albino deer some where on here.... Man they had a lot of old archery stuff....

John is that camera noise or is there a white stripe running down the riser of that dog-leg?
Nice display!
-
Would that be a takedown system?
-Simon
-
Bjorn-That is that '63 type I dogleg magnum I had shown in another post. It's an experimental take-down.It comes apart at the white seam.
-
Bjorn, it's probably not to late to let Doc experiment with your Type I :bigsmyl:

John, WOW, very cool! almost like taking a tour of a museum. If that was my room, I's probably never leave it!! :bigsmyl:
-
Thanks Frank.A very small museum but it is easy to get comfortable in there with all that history surrounding you.Anytime you want to take a closer look your always welcome.
-
I like that kind of set up for a takedown. Many of the Groves bows were like that.
-
Now thats a sickness :)
:notworthy: :notworthy:
-
Bjorn,
Inside the two-pieces when it's apart it has written in black,"Groves,Pat.Pend. so it is a Groves joint evidently.
-
I bet Floyd put that Groves T/D system in the dog leg mag. That sure looks like his work to me.Ya just never know...bd

An entrance room that welcomes you...
