Title: DELETE
Post by: SELFBOW19953 on January 20, 2009, 07:40:00 PM
Folks,

I just received a bow I got on everyone's favorite auction site for $65.00.  It's a 66" 30@28 Pro Bow Contender.  It looks like a knockoff of a Tamerlane, the color, the logo, etc.  Does anyone know anything about it?

Never heard of it.  f you know the lines and construction of the Tamerlanes, t doesn't look anything like one.  Unusual thing is the brass insert on the belly side.  Also, I have never seen a black Reynolds sight before...is it painted black.

It is a nice looking bow and seems to be well made.  Should be a good shooter.

Cody,

Do you have any details?

Jack,

Here are photos of the sight, they appear to be original color-not painted.  Are parts for Reynolds sights still available? The rail is there, but no sight.

I'm thinking the brass inserts (sights and belly stabilizer) are after market.

That looks identical to a Damon-Howatt Palomar, only a cheaper looking version.

Good find.
