Got an answer
" I measured the length of the bow and the width. I added an inch on either side for the packing materials. Then I weighed the box. I put the dimensions and weight of box into the calculated shipping form on the listing. I offer Prioity Mail, Parcel Post and UPS. The computer figures out your shipping cost when you type in your zip or country. It is because of the length & width of the bow. If you are really interested I can take time to search for a box that does not have to be purchased or I can build a box. If you give me your zip or country then I can figure out the exact cheapest cost. It is all the post office's or UPS FED EX cost. My handling fee is only $2. Thanks, Jodi
So, Texas to Ca. is still 90+ bucks?? I think not

Its listed in the "compound" section of bows, maybe the fishing spool makes it compound. It only shows $73 dollars shipping to Iowa.
