Title: Super K rest material
Post by: M60gunner on January 02, 2009, 05:02:00 PM
I need some help please. Who has the best rest material for my 1973 Super K? I looked at 3Rivers site but not sure. I seem to remember the rest being white material but the side plate is a lost memory. Maybe it was calfhair?
Thank you, Tom M

I have not found a exact replacement for the rest but the Strike plate [calf hair] I get from Lamont at the footed shaft

I usually order the Bear rest and plate and just use the rest.

I think the bear hair rests for the shelf only come in brown now.

Thank you everyone. A picture is worth a thousand words. I have seen the side plates and brown self rests. I am thinking of shooting my Super K agian. I am the orginal owner. I do notice the shape of the grip is different than my 1997 takedown. May take some getting used to.
Thanks agian.
