Title: Ya gotta love yer Mailman...
Post by: Stickbow98 on December 31, 2008, 01:25:00 PM
-When he walks your mail up your driveway for you in a howling snowstorm because he knows that long box contains another new bow for you!

In this case my long awaited '59 kodiak!!    :saywhat:   At least I can be happy about the equipment part of the occassion!

I'll say.  You do have a nice mailman not making you wait for that beauty.  Mine's a lady and I told her it was an old bow and asked her if she wanted to see it.  She said yes and I unwrapped it for her.  She said it was pretty but I know she didn't have a clue but nice of her to look at it.

Nice bow...and a nice mail man too.

I was home all day on Christmas eve waiting for a 1960 Kodiak, but my lazy a$$ mail man just left a slip in my box and drove on.  I hope he got a raindeer terd in his stocking.

Beautiful bow... What a rugged mailman! Our weather stopped all mail,UPS, fed ex ... for almost a week. I just got my grizzly yesterday after 14 days in UPS transit. box torn wide open, but the bow is beautiful, Whew!
   Sweet 59 Ron!

My mailman brought me 2 big boxes of flint and he said they were heavy as a box full of rocks.  :)  He also says " heres another bow"

Well Ron, That one was definately worth waiting for.  Very nice indeed.  Did your maleman look at you kinda funny when you embraced him?   ;)

That quiver looks familiar.  Did you make the mounting system or is it someone elses brainstorm?  Got any closeups of how the tape on is mounted?  Is that leather on the part that sits on the limb?

Haven't shot it yet. Wind & snow's blowing so hard right now I'd probably hit MYSELF with the first arrow!!    :scared:

Hey Jim- Only thing that could make it sweeter is a snazzy string? Anyone in  mind?    :notworthy:

Bill- We've definetly got close relatives. (Mine being the uglier brother from another mother)    ;)  That bow of yours is pure Hollywood, man!

Waiting on TWO Kodiaks for Christmas, Mullet?    You must have been a VERY good boy!! LOL!

Thanks guys,

BTW- Thanks Doc. Yer right, I've got the dreaded "Old Bow" disease!!    :help:

I may need a Dr's. appointment one day to treat my battle worn appearance, my tired old limbs, or my cracking tip from being used hard and put up wet!!

(That didn't sound good, did it?) Good, it wasn't meant to!    :archer:

Someone else's idea, Trap. E**y find. Leather pads sewn over the mounting brackets on the quiver, held in place on the bow by leather straps w/ velcro attached to them. I like it. No mar on the bow, and holds well. Easy on/off and fits any bow I want to use it on.

Was waiting for someone to ask about it!    :saywhat:

Ron, Guess I was a good boy. One is 55# and a shooter and the other is 45#, a 10,only feather streaks across the pad with original quiver and arrows, box and original reciept. And I just traded an Osage stave and Black Locust stave tonight for a 64, Grizzly in mint. I might kiss my mailman ,too.

And if not, make sure to get the BOWS first, in case he's not open to concept of an overly appreciative Trad dude with a bow-ner!!!!   :saywhat:

Make sure and post some pics too!! They sound like great presents!      Congrats!
