Is there noticeably more riser mass in a 70's Kodiak Hunter compared to the same vintage Grizzly? How do they compare to each other in shoot ability? I have been thinking about buying one to add to my Bear collection of shooters.

SK yes the mass on the KH was a bit larger then on the Grizzly. Both bows seem to shoot real good...bd

Definately more riser mass in the KH. In my opinion the 70's KH's shoot better that the 70's Grizzlys. I think the 62 inch Grizzlys from the early 60's shoot better. When the Griz got shortened - I think it suffered.

I have a 66 Grizzly and an early 70s KH. They both shoot well but the KH is smoother and has a little more mass to it besides being a 60" bow vs a 58" bow. My first real hunting bow was a 67 or 68 Grizzly bought new and it shot very nice.

The beefy riser from the Kodiak Hunter makes a real stable bow. Can't go wrong with a kodiak hunter.
