Title: Bear Metric Magnums
Post by: Grant Young on November 14, 2008, 04:16:00 PM
:help:  Guys, I'm hoping some of you here can help me out. I also hope I'm okay posting this here. I recently got hold of some 8.6 Metric Magnum shafts that Easton made for Bear until the late '80s. I'd used my old 8.7s until my stock got too low and I "modernized". I was surprised how well I could get these arrows to work for me with minimal tuning and tried to buy more but my source's source had sold out. Do any of you guys know where I might start looking for more. I might also have some trade wampum if someone would prefer that to cash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.                  Grant

I used some many years ago. They will be hard to find.

I use those with my 50 pound recurves and they have taken many deer for me. I have been fortunate to keep finding them as I need them. I will check and see if I have some extras.

Thanks for the input fellas. I was surptised to find I could actually use two sizes of these things to good effect. I like the weight and smaller diameter of the MM series and would love to locate a small reserve of both the 8.7 and 8.6 sizes. Any help tracking down a source would be greatly appreciated and I hope any of you will feel free to call on me if I can be of any help down the road. Thanks,         Grant
