Title: Suggested brace 54 Compass Kodiak

You could start about 7" 7 1/4" and go up to about 8" maybe 8 1/2" pending on where it shoots good for you.The one I have shoots great at 8" brace for me..A bit higher will help keep them quieter....bowdoc

Thanks Don, I have to tell you that between this Kodiak and the Red Wing Hunter that you refinished, I'm just thrilled with these older bows.

My K-2 is only 42# and a bit rough with broken compass.But what a shooter....bowdoc

 Just returned from the target. 7 5/8 and considering a bit higher, but it seems to have quieted. Still a bit of hand shock, but not excessive IMO. The string with it was a bit frazzled, so I'm using the B50 from my Ghost.
 Forgot to mention 60" 55#@28. May have gotten lucky and found "my bow".
 The bow handles a lot like my Ghost, but seems to fit the hand better. May be due to the slight index grip where my Ghost is straight.
