This guy had listed a $40 shipping charge with this bow and I asked him if he could ship it for $20. He said if I didn't like it not to bid. That is a pet peeve when someone jacks up the shipping charge. Why don't some of you guys ask him if he'd come down on the shipping charge? LOL
-
Man..Thats a hard nose..I also asked. He is charging for the box, packing, and who knows what else.. Too much shipping for me!
-
Seems kind of silly. But then again, if you know what it's going to cost, back your max bid down by $20.00. Easy fix. CKruse

My comments to him
"I am interested in your bow, and the starting bid is a fair price. However, $40.00 for shipping puts it over the value. Most recurves ship for a bout $20.00. can you ship it for that to Georgia. If not, I have a friend that lives up close to you. Can he pick it up for me and save on shipping. Please let me know soon as the auction runs out in two days."
I wil llet you know what kind of response I get if any. His shipping cost and starting price may have something to d owith the fact that he has no bids yet... ya think?

We could always tell the seller that there will be a De-handling fee deducted from the purchase price for the buyer to unpack and dispose of the box etc.
-
The last bow that was shipped to me was a 58" Grizzly, the box was marked $27.15 at the post office, shipping ain't cheap anymore.

Here is his answer to Jack
"You can have someone pick the bow up here as long as it is paid for by US Postal money order first. ( I do not sell outside **** so if it doesn't sell I will keep rhe bow.)"
-
I was coming to post that.
Tony, how did you get that, was it on the auction sight?
Well, I have no real interest int it, and at $75.00 I don't knoww that a Wing Slim line pro is worth it. In any case, I lied and I don't have anyone close up there to pick it up. I waws surprised to see that he woukld agree to a pick up and loose his shipping profit.
Also, what would be wrong if I sent my frientd with cash instead of a Paypal payment. No different than if I mailed him o postal MO...which he does noat accept either...but cash is cssh ya know...legal tender.

I ship bows to Europe for 40.00. Everything to the west coast cost more than going to the east coast from Wisconsin. Also they like to tack on a ballon charge of it is over 85 inches total. It can get pricey sometimes.

Yeah, he posted it. The guy must pay people to drive him to the post office, wrap his packages, then buy them lunch.
The only time I bought a bow online and picked it up it was like making a drug deal. I had to meet the seller outside a Harley dealer near Gettysburg, and look for a blue pickup. Then I walk up to the idling truck with a wad of cash in my pocket.
Hopefully, this is the right truck.
It was, and I could see that the guy probably nabbed it at a flea market. It belonged to his "friend." Then I noticed that the bow had a very slight twist. I bumped it into line, and made the deal (It was a good price and the guy looked like he really needed the money)
I probably could have given the guy half what I paid him, but I think you should play the cards you're dealt. Turned out to be a very nice bow.

Holy balls did you guy's see the dude with the $55.42 shipping on a Grizzly this morning.I think it's for a Grizz.but if you read his auc.from the listing it looks like he's selling the Bear factory. The most I have ever paid to ship one bow, ever was...well I think I will leave the guy's name out....but the friggen bow showed up at my shop and the postal worker...this small lady who has been delievering our mail for like 37 years.Came into my shop and says hay how about a hand.I went to the postal truck and this bow box was the size of a coffen.NO JOKE you could have stashed at least 3 body's in this friggen box that held one bow and 600,810 foam packing pea-nuts.She ask if someone I knew died recently and if it was even legal for me to have my customers ship dead body's 3 day priority insured ???? Back then the bow restoration cost was about 125.00.The bow and box were 99.00 return shipping and insurence.I offerd to rebox the bow and save him some dough...but he wanted to use the coffen........100.00 shipping for a bow...no way...bd
