Title: info on a browning folding hunter 1 bow

browning folding bow mfg#4fh484 50# amo 56"
can anyone give me any info on this bow
what year is was mfg and what it is worth $$$
also I'm looking for another one like it

I think they were made in the early 70's.. More of an oddment than a collector.. The ones I have seen sold went in the 2-3 range.
I about ended up with one a few years back, but couldn't get together with the owner.. I have always been curious as to how they shot.

I think that was Browning's attempt to compete with the new Bear Custom Takedown.  It was not widely accepted.  After that they came out with the Backpacker, then the BackPacker II, FireDrake Takedown, and then the cheaper Wasp Takedaon.  Thiswe were more of a success.

But, hey, that is how we come up with new innovations.  Put it out there and see how it flies.  It will either sore, or crash and burn.

In the late '60's Allen came out  with a new contraption with all sorts of wheels and pullys. Many of us said that this is one that will crash and burn.  Look what that led to.
