Title: help with IDing bow & broad head
Post by: minnesota_hunter on September 13, 2008, 11:21:00 AM
i was checking out a new archery shop in the area today.  i found an old recurve that they were selling for $60,  as i was looking at it the shop owner told me it also came with 2 dz arrows.  so i had to look at them. the arrows looked like they had never been shot.  it also had 14 old bear razor heads, 2 have a little rust one them, the other dozen look like they were never on an arrow.  there were also 5 more pieces of arrow that had an other style of broadhead i was going to take them off the pieces to wiegh them,  but i found out the hard way they had plastic ferrule.

do you have any idea what kind of head the black one is.  it is 3 inches long.  has bleeder blades and a plastic ferrule.

the bow may be a little harder to ID.  the only thing i could find written on it was 44 at 28  and 6E719 wich i think is a serial number. it is 68" long.  brown glass on the back, and grey & white glass on the belly.

The black broadhead is an Arrowmate. Very common head......I have around about 10,000 of them-you what some more?
The bow tip is kinda crudely done, makes me wonder if it was a home replacement job???
