Title: dates on two bears
Post by: Oregon Okie on July 28, 2008, 02:18:00 AM
Have a few bear bows. Light weight and trying to figure out year of manufacture.
From what I can tell this is what I think.

bow 1 - bear cub - serial 8P5398. It's recurve (or semi-curve. 30#, 62 inches. pale green glass belly and back. I think it's a 1968??? medallion is "gold" in color

bow 2 - bear panda - serial 2cd39. also a curve or semi-curve. 60 inches - 25#. aluminum medallion. pale green back, white belly. 1960-61 is my guess?

thanks for any help or corrections.
any additional info welcome.

Thanks. Just wanted to know. Hadn't heard of a panda before but I'm not a collector so I didn't know. Any special value to that one or just another cool almost old bear bow?

Panda was a 'school bow'..... and as you put it 'just another cool almost old bear bow'.
No special value.
