I am needing some info on 1959 Bear Bows, since I was born in 1959 I am going to start looking for one, the only problem I will admit is I do not know what Bear archery made for bows that year so I figured this was a good place to get started. any help will be greatly appreciated. looknig for LH bow in the upper 40# range

Doug,
That's exactly how I got started, I was born in '58 and decided to get a '58 to hunt with to commemorate my 50th. year. You may as well plan on getting them all! I am currently working on doing just that. My search for a bow lead me to this site and it has become a favorite hang out. So far I have A Grizzly, Polar, Alaskan, and 60" Kodiak. I have a 64" Kodiak on the way. All save the 64" Kodiak have come from members here. This is rapidly becoming an obsession for me.
Good Luck!

It tough to beat a '59 Grizzly! The '59 Polar is real nice too, but finding one 50#+ is extremely difficult (I've been looking for a year now).

The '59 Alaskan is a double shelf bow and they're relatively easy to find in the 45-48# range. I just sold my 50#er...
