Has anyone ever seen one of these old archery vests with a built-in quiver on the back? Found it in a basement and the guy thinks he remembers buying it in the late 40's or early 50's. We had it cleaned and it came out pretty nice. It was covered with coal soot. Looks like a nice find for our collection. Adding three pics, hope it works.

I've seen them on the suction site a couple of times. My good friend Raghorn snagged one a couple years ago

neat find

Wow!

Guy I shoot with has one. Paid $5.00 at a yard sale for it.

Like Earl, I saw it on e8ay a few years back, but only once. Neet collectible.

It should have little arrowheads on the side zippers. I believe they also have a game pouch in the back. The vest Earl mentioned I sold to a guy that does a lot of rabbit hunting. It is perfect for that. If the vest I had would have been for a leftie it never would have been sold.

That seems like an idea that someone could do again, wonder if the arrows stay put a little better than in a back quiver.
My boys arrows came out a few times when he leaned over to far, really scary on a downhill trail.

Yes, an idea to try again, but maybe a vest in buckskin with antler buttons, fringe, pockets, game pouch, etc.
Someone should do one of those "build along" threads.

Raghorn: yes there are arrowheads on the side zippers. If this was a left hand I would be hunting with it next year..Looks good on the wall for now. You guys are right it is a very cool idea and someone should make one of Deer skin

I have a friend who is in the process of making them in various types of camo for commercial sale. I don't know the details or where he is in his biz development but will find out if anyone is interested.

My friend Bob K. from Michigan has two different vest quivers. You'd think he would be willing to give one to his buddy. Sadly I'm having to make my own. Mine will have the arrow fletchings right behind my neck. I'll have mine done by June 18th for the Jamboree in Grayling Michigan.
