I have a white glass polar 64" with black and white overlays a bulbinga I beam riser handle shape is like the 1962 kodiak
-
does this sound like 61 and I think I read somewhere this is kind of strange polar did they not make many of these It seams like most 61 polars where 66 inches is that true
-
Yours is a 1959 or a 1960. Before 1959 they were maple risers, in 1961 they went to 66".

I know this bow didnt come with leather grip If that helps somewhere I thought I was told the polar didnt change to a 66 inch bow until a few months into 61 and about 200 where made with a 64 inch length s #is JJ795 black ink I ws wrong about bulbinga it is red like bulbinga but it has grain more like walnut
-
oh and it has fiberglass tips

The '59 and '60 Polars had red glass and no riser overalys. The tip overlays were white and red.
I think inn '61 all the Polars were 66". In '62 they went to 'his' and 'hers' models. The 'hers' started as 56" but then was made in 64" (late in the year or '63??) The 1964 Polars had the horns.
I'd guess it's a '62 or '63. Who has the early 60's catalogs?? Mine only go up to '59.
