Just thought I would take some time to introduce myself to the forum...I just started "collecting" on a very small scale this year and have been reading a lot of threads you guys post and gained a lot of valuable and interesting information. So hopefully I will get in on the fun in the very near future and look foreward to leaching more info from you guys as well.
Thanks,
Dustin

Welcome aboard.
Tell us what bows you have managed to collect so far. Do you just collect them for the wall, or do you use them? What are your favorite collectibles?
WARNING: The Surgeon General has determined that traditional collecting is an infectuous desease and can be devasting to your financial health.

Ok so far this is what I have managed to aquire
56 Kodiak-56lb 60"-gave to dad for fathers day present
57 Kodiak-47lb 64"-shoots great just need to make arrows for it
63 Kodiak-48lb-beautiful figured bubinga i believe have not shot yet.
64 Kodiak-42lb-have not shot yet
65 Kodiak-60lb-have shot and its awesome will hog hunt with this fall
67 SK 49lb-love this bow has some finish issues
71 SK 54lb-has been refinished not by Bowdoc however but this is my current shooter killed a turkey with it last month, no ground blind, 69 razorhead, bear camoflauge.
early Gainsvile Kodiak TD factory camo-50lbs shoots like a dream
So that's where I am at currently. Constantly checking classifieds and yabe. My ultimate would be an original B-handle. Currently looking for a 66' as well as another 56-57 in a heavier weight.
Look forward to participating here often 8v)

FOrgot the 63 Polar 50lb 66" looks like it came straight out of the box
and the mid 70s grizzly that also shoots like a dream. Was going to turkey hunt with this one but the K-bug bit me in Feb and it has been neglected every since.

If that is on a small scale i can't wait till you get rolling !!

You better watch it - looks like you're headed directly for that "Extreme collector" catagory. Welcome Dustin.

I consider a collector to be anyone with two or more bows. You are well on your way to financial ruin if you keep persueing those dandies.
You have some awsome bows. All Bears tells me you have an afinity for them.
I will predict that once you start shooting them all (if you do), that your favorites will be the '64 then the '63, then the '57. You need to get a '59. Many say it is the best shooting Bear hunting bow ever made. You may not like the "THUNK" of the '64. It is my favorite Bear bow inspite of the sound, but then I have never really shot a '59.
KQQL collection. Can we see pics?

You're in deep dude. You could possibly get out now but I doubt it :bigsmyl:

NO, sadly it is too late for him. If his addiction had been diagnosed earlier, he might have had a chance.
Now... he is a RECURVEAHOLIC.
-
haha I am just glad I found a support group to help me through this addiction :)
I would love to get my paws on a 59', 60' or 61' for that matter.
I will post pics this evening of what I got so far.

Dustin
You don't go to other addicks for a support group. We will just drag you down with us.

Hey Rich, I do not believe we do although I did sign up for your website a while back, and must admit your site and the others dedicated to bear collecting really got my intrest peaked in starting. So Thanks!
Jack I am figuring that out because after reading these posts and participating I am getting a fevor.
Just "aquired" an autographed takedown from yabe a few minutes ago.

I found a tenant today :) When she gets here she should feel right at home up there.
Ok here is another question for you guys...How often do you guys sale/trade your bows? I couldn't imagine giving any of these up ever.
