Title: Dis-colored areas on radius's

I'm sanding one down right now (71 Kodi-hunter)and on every radius of the riser, it is dis-colored. Is this normal and what do I attack the limbs with? The riser is pretty much done and it really has a much darker color to it now, she will be a beauty if I don't screw the rst of it up.
