Title: Different sizes of Bear bow quivers

Were older Bear bow quivers built in different sizes to fit the different bow length?

I'm talking about the double spring version of the Bear bow quiver and would like to know if I need two or more quivers for different bows like Kodiak Magnum 52", Kodiak Hunter 60" and Kodiak 64".

What about the rubber quality of those quivers made in the 1970s. Do they still work or should I better take one of the newer style quivers?

two different length....one for mags and one for Kodiaks.Most of the later models were adjustable.The arrow gripers usely need to be replaced...3Rivers sells a reproduction griper that works well.bowdoc

I love the old bear quivers, they just feel right on a Bear bow,  That being said, I thinks there's much better options made today.  

It really depends on personal preference.  I use the old 4-arrow bolt-ons and tape-ons, because they are "period" correct for the bows I like to shoot and find them very functional, quiet and lightweight.  They can be rebuilt with just a little enginuity to make them almost as good as new.  

Hard to beat a great northern though.

Well said Trap,I had a double spring-arm later model green 8 arrow...it used to like to fly off my 1962 Kodiak about the second arrow and was noisey.I started using a little tape around the arms.But since switched over to zip-ties around the top and bottom arm.I really like the upper spring arm with the lower bolt on mount,that one's pretty solid....they sure do look good though,but yes there are far better quivers made today....bowdoc

What are the best bow quivers today without drilling a hole into an old Bear bow?

I have limmitted experience with many of the new ones like the kenati and eagles flight and such, but I hear great reviews for them.  I've used Great Northern and Selways and they are both high quality and look good too.

You can pick up used ones on the classifieds here for a fraction of the retail price and many of those will be in excellent condition.
