I have a Drake recurve with a number stamped into the backside of the sight window. The number is 2776. There are no other markings on the bow except for a decal on the lower limb. The lettering on the decal is:
Made by Drake
Lakeside California

1959-1961...........but the numbers on Harry's bows have very little do to with anything...I believe he started them over about 6 times...Cool bow...I have a 69" 49# that shoots sweet. The one I have is green and black fiberglass with purple heart riser...good shooters...bowdoc

Thanks guys, the Drake that I have is about 64" and I don't know the poundage. It has a leather grip, dark brown glass and a lighter, reddish-brown glass. The riser is made with a beautiful dark wood with a lighter wood in the sight window. I'll post a picture later.

I think he was the Browning bowyer...which makes sense those bows were pretty good shooters.

The 56" Hunter Flight is a shooting machine...I think Browning was makeing bows for Drake along with Fasco or with Drakes name on them...When Fred Anderson was at Fasco they made the Drake Hunter flights for a while...Thats a great bow there.......bowdoc

From bottom to top.... Kodiak Special, Drake, Deluxe West Bow... all could use some refinishing.
