Hey all, I have aAMF/Wing hawk, 58" 45#@ 28. It has a wing quiver with it and an old screw in aluminum sight.
I need to know roughly how old it is, brace height, and where I can get a replacement gripper for the wing bolt on quiver. Knowing the wood would be nice, but isnt needed. String material suggestions?(It has wood overlays) If anyone knows what type of shelf material was used on these I would love to get back to "factory settings".
This bow was my father's, and I want to get it set up to hunt. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I can help with 2 of your questions.
1) The year. Kinda easy to narrow it down. Pre 1972 the logo did not refer to AMF and after 75 the logo changed to the "Head-ski" logo. So yours is between 72 and 75. In all of these years (72-75) the bow was available in AMO of 52 and 58. The weights were 40,45,50, and 55 with the exception of 1973 they went up to 70 pounds.
2) Brace Height. Alot bigger than I thought! I have 1 of these as well and when I saw a recommended brace height of 8 1/2 to 9 1/4 it sounded kinda big. But sure enough- that's where she likes to be.

Thanks for those two. Atleast now I can brace it right. Much appreciated!

'72 AMF Night Hawk and '73 AMF Nighthawk riser was advertized as being made of maple with various color glasses being used. - Not yours.
'74 & '75 they changed the name to Hawk and the riser was made of "Exotic hardwoods".
I do not have a '76 catalog - never have seen one.
Then in '77, they called it Night Hawk (2 words) with a maple riser. - Again, not yours.
From '78 on, Hawk line was a no show.
So I would put your bow somewhere between '74-'76.
I could be a little wrong, but the best I can make out, In '51 to '67, the company name was simply "Wing". In'68/69Bob Lee sold the company and from then until end of '70 was called "Wing, A division of Head Ski". Then in '71/72, AMF purchased the company and it became "AMF Wing".
Also, I found your gripper in 3Rivers; http://www.3riversarchery.com/product.asp?i=3592
