anyone know anything about this bow? 66 inches long, 50 pounds at 27 inches, stamped 6751 and marked: CITATION MARK I 50#-27"-66". Nice wood overlays on the back of the riser and white glass overlays on the front of the tips. Nice looking and shooting bow. I am guessing a vintage wing product. Am I right?

There was a company who made the Citation bow in the early 1960's. They made a "Flame Citation", a "Custom Citation" and a "Citation Hunter." Doug Kittredge sold them in his 1961-62 Catalog. Their ad said they were custom made and to allow a minimum of 3 weeks for shipment. The "Flame" and "Custom" came in lengths of 66" and 69", the "Hunter" was offered in only 66". Hope that helps.

Nope not a Wing... I think Smithwick Citation (Straight laminated riser ???) late 50's Tom Jennings was thier bowyer for a bit,and may have been a partner at one time.I got an old book around somewhere. With it showing pics of Tom building a bow form at Smithwick.Tom later moved on and Smithwick continued building bows for several years afterwards.Kittredge did stock Smithwicks for sure.I've owned several of thier bows over the years and your right they are super shooters real smooth draw and pretty collectable as well....look like a Drake recurve ???? narrow limb tips ???? Keep me posted bd

I received an email from Sherwood Schoch who was a partner of Tom Jennings during the developement of the Jennings compound. He said that Tom was the person who made the bow and it was named after the race horse of the year-Citation. Nice info to pass along.
