I was at this little resale shop and they have a old bear longbow for sale it is light in color not real long 58-60" I'm guessing the limbs have a slight reflex in them. If I can remeber correctly the bow just say's Longbow on it but I can remeber right now. Are theese old bows worth anything?

Bow info.
This is what is on the bow.
Bear 62" 50#
RC893
It has a leather handle on it.

I have more info, I also took pic that I can email to someone if they will post them.
It has two stickers on it, the first is the large standing bear with that say's Bear and glass powered on it, I believe they used that decal from 1953 to 1955 then replaced that with the newer silk sceening with patent info on it.
the other stcker it the patent sticker it says
us pat 2,212660 if I remember correctly. So from what I can tell it was made between 1953 and 1955. I still dont know what the model name was and it still has the leather handle. One thing about it is someone put a threaded inset to mount a quiver on it on the riser. If someone could put up pics that would help.
Thanks
Terry

Heres pics of TFolts longbow.
Due to it being a long bow 62" length, patent number, the standing bear decal, and that the first to letters in the SN# RC, my guess would be that its a mid 53 -54 Bear Cub longbow. I'd be interested in anyone elses input on identifying this as well. Tim

Any Idea of the value?
-
If you do a search on the auction site you can get an idea of what they have been bringing.

Well used bows are selling a little slow right now, just like anything else. But on a bad day 50.00 and on a good day I've seen em go over 200.00.Sorry I can't cut it any closer then that for you,but things are slow right now in the used market......... bd

unfortunately when you do a search on the auction site for completed sales there aren't many, due to them starting over every year. If you searched in December you would have gotten a whole lotta hits. Mr Bowdoc is right, you see the prices vary quite a bit on the auction site, just depends on who wants it and how bad.
Whats the asking price for it if you don't mind me asking?
-
They have 65 on it but said they would take 40.00
-
at 40.00 you may double your money on that auction site, good poundage.
