Title: Martin Apollo Information

Anyone have any knowledge of this bow. I am looking for a value. It is a 2pc, metal? alluminum? bow. I know it is old. Any help is greatly appreciated... Thanks brock   :archer:

ArcheryHistory.com has a picture of one.  The Apollo "Martin" was a two-piece aluminum takedown recurve made in the 1950's by Accles & Pollock, Ltd., in Oldsury, Birmingham, England.  They are pretty rare, but I have no clue as to their value.

How many Howatts do you have, and what models?

Jack,

I guess I have around 70 or so. The oldest is a Howatt Bushmaster static recurve from the '40s made by Damon Howatt himself.  Other models in the collection include several Hunters, a couple Venturas, a Triumph, a couple Sabers, a 1955 Mamba Hi-Speed, several Martin Takedowns, a Gail Martin takedown, nine Hatfields (representing all six recognized generations of the model), a Dreamcatcher, a limited edition variation of the Dreamcatcher called the Buffalo Hunter, a Mountaineer longbow, two Custom Bushmaster longbows, a Bamboo Viper, a Savannah, and five Vision longbows.  Probably a few others, but my mind is going blank.

Well, you have me beat all to heck on Howatts

I have 3 Hunters, 3 Montereys (2 @ 50#)  1- Balboa, 1 Palamar, 1 Matador (black), 1 Del Rey.

I have ove 80 recurvess, but a mix of brands.

I also have a Jack Howard Hunter which is actually a Howatt Hunter that was finished off by Jack Howard with his logo on it.  He did about 50 of these.

Great to have someone in the forum that is so up on Howatts.  They can be a booger somtimes to identify unless you really know them.
