Well, congratulations!
I remember back when I switched "back" to trad, after shooting a lot all year the first year, then another year rolled by...and a third...till I got to drop the string on an animal and score a kill. It was a darned ole blackbird in my yard... and a long shot, too! I was soooo proud! :D
Congrats. Those peskly rats aren't all that easy to whack and keep whacked! :)
Brian , Great job and you should join us on the rabbit hunt if we get to do it again this year.Alot of guys from Tuckahoe were there and we went on a nice farm near Salsibury Md.I shot with you a few years ago with Otis,Sam and Rick at Tuckahoe.I would like to see us do a tree rat hunt sometime also.Lots of fun and good times fellowshipping as well.God Bless and check out the member video on the fastest way to skin a tree rat. Keefers<")))><
MD license is so expensive since im not working now. houseing market has me laid off first time in over 5 years. I might be able to stop down for chit chat and hang out.
hope i found the right vid. its downloading now under UBI Squirrel hunt ?
You'll be ready if something bigger comes out on ya!
I sure hope so Steve,
this today is the biggest obstical so far. seeing if i could loose an arrow into an animal. targets are one thing the life thing is another.
well done mate, it sure aint easy to hit those little guys. congrats! :clapper:
Good shot!
A tree rat is no easy target. Congrats.
Don't be so modest. Shooting a deer is easy. Hitting a hyper, twitchy little bundle of nerves called a gray squirrel? That's tough!
Congrats. I'd save the tail and hang it on your bow rack.
Did all that yaller stuff come out of your skwerl?
Is that a Ben Pearson Colt?
Can I see you do that again?
Killdeer :bigsmyl:
LOL killdeer
i popped this sucker eating my corn this morning. was about to give up for a few hours till mid day when i sat there and watched him and a few others eating my corn. he was about 15 yds out from my groundblind.
the bow is a Bear Black Panther 50# @28
You gonna bring that bow to Baltimore? Can I shoot it? I got my own arrows... :bigsmyl:
can ya shoot lefty?
Congratulations Brian  My first trad kill was a squirrel too. Well done!
BTW- I usually cook mine in a crockpot until the meat falls off the bones. I then shred the meat and mix it with a can of mixed vegetables, a jar of chicken gravy, and a little thyme, salt, and pepper. I use that as a filling for pot pies, using ready to bake crusts; easy and delicious.
I'll say it again, congratulations Brian. Tasty little critters they are.
Ooops. I can hit the target...
:biglaugh:
Congrats! I love the look of those older recurves, too. A less-busy look to them...
Thanks everyone.
