Post by: Lone archer on July 11, 2007, 06:08:00 PM
I have a LH Bighorn RamHunter longbow ser#03980. Trying to find out if it from when Fred Asbell owned the company and what it might be worth?

How does that bow shoot lone archer? I see him selling them on e_ba-y auctions. I always wondered how the bighorns shoot. They look nicely made. I know a lot of Fred's bows were made with heavy draw weights.

I have both an old and a new Ramhunter.  I emailed Ron Nelson of the new Bighorn some pix of my old Ramhunter and he gave me an approximate vintage.  I bought a new one for my son who just turned 16 and it shoots great.  It is well made and seems to be finished nicely.  I think Ron has worked for Bighorn since Fred owned the company.  I don't know the whole story on how he now owns the company himself.
