I was at a shoot last fall where a vendor was selling plane Jane arrows. They were POC and Douglas Fir. Just a clear finish with a one stripe crest. The guy was asking $45.00 a doz. I think if you can get shafts with feathers on them for that price today you are getting a good buy. But people were complaining about the lack of work for that price.
What do you think.
That's about half what I'd expect to pay over here for finished POC arrows.
That is a very good price unless the workmanship was bad.
I bought a dozen of the three rivers arrows. There was nothing at all wrong with them but they were plain as a dirt road. I think a couple of dark bands over stain and very thin seal. They work very well but were 70$ uncut/untipped. The short form is I would pay 45 a doz. Kinda depends on whether the shafting was well spine matched. If so, that is good to me.
Today, $45 a dozen is a good price, but only if the arrows are well matched in terms of spine, and weight and have straight grain. There's a lot of junk being sold today at considerably higher prices. They might look pretty, but if they're poorly matched, crooked, etc., they won't fly worth a darn.
I'd buy some for that with quickness.
I'd say its a good deal if the shafts are good quality.

$45.00 for shafts of good quality is a very reasonable price.
At $45/dozen, I don't know how they turn a profit on them. You'd be hard pressed to buy the materials to build them yourself for that, without their labor.
Great price, if they are matched within 20 grains in weight and 5#s in spine. It cost me about $36-38 to do a dozen pretty plain myself. Shawn
you get what you pay for, check them out before you buy
The bare shafts I buy are $35.00 a dozen, that sound like a great price for a finished arrow.
