You will get more accuracy with a longer bow.  Ever see an olympic archer shoot 54 inches.  The reason - To use an extreme example - the 54 inch bow will gain 3+ pounds from 26 1/2 to your 27 1/2 draw length.  The olympic bow would probably gain 2- lbs in that same distance.  To take the extreme out of it - that 3+ pounds will be less with a 62 inch bow.  Will it make any difference at 20 yds - probably not.  I like shooting at longer distances and at a 29 inch draw, I wouldn't consider 62 inches.

Most important.  Keep in mind that the above comes from an archery bigot.  In my mind (as small as it might be) any bow under 62 inches is not a longbow, it's a shortbow.

I just bought one of Bob Lees 54" bows and shoot a 29" draw and I was wondering the samething but got the bow and have no finger pinch problems at all. By the way what a nice shooting bow. One of the better shooting bows I've tried. I'll post pictures later
