I have a Framed autographed picture of Fred Bear with his caped buffalo. The person who gave it to me owns one of the archery shops here and the person who gave it to him was a Bear sales rep. He said Fred Bear sighned a few of these before he passed on. It was a wedding gift from my freind who ownes the archery shop. I just want to know what it would be worth? for some reason it won't let me put a picture here, but if you want me to e-mail you one it wont be a problem. I hope you can help.
Thanks
Darren

Darren,
If it is signed by Fred Bear it could be worth a bit of money. I donated a print of a picture of FB with a lynx to our state bowhunting organization for our raffle that was signed by FB. It went for $400.
If you want to email me the picture at [email protected] and the URL for this thread I will post the picture for you.

That's a great pic. I'd hold on to that one if it were me.

Darren a few years ago on ebay these signed B&W photos were selling any where from $125.00 to $265.00 each. I know because I sold quite a few.
Since then the prices have dropped considerably.
From all I could gather there were a total of 16 different game photos that Fred would personal sit and sign at his office to be given out at trade shows. I kept a set for myself.
Ebay at times has copies offered and 3 Rivers was selling unsigned copies at one time, don't know if they still are. I have a lot of photos that were never published both B&W and color of Fred Bear and Bob Munger. Check out my website then follow the links to some very interesting reading and photos of Fred Bear, Bear Archery and etc.

I've a bunch of signed 8x10s and one of his arrows As Mooseran noted, they once drew big bucks on ebay...heck everything with Fred Bear did them. I sold a bunch of Archery and other magazines with Fred's photo on the cover for outrageous prices back then. The market went south since. :)
