Title: Saxton signature
Post by: Dave Earley on February 28, 2006, 01:31:00 AM
Have recently acquired a copy of Hunting with the Bow & Arrow that appears to be autographed by Saxton Pope himself: inscription in front reads "to cousin Sallie from Saxton 12-25-25".  The book is listed as a second printing / impression.  Needs a trip to the bindery for repair - is curretnly in two peices but otherwise in fine shape - some yellowing of page edges only, very slight musty smell, but no torn or missing pages; no mildew stains.  I am the 4th owner since "Sallie"

Would like to find someone who can authenticate the signature, especially if that person was going to the SLC PBS banquet - anyone have any ideas?

I plan to send this off to a company that specializes in restoring family bibles, to get it put back together professionally.  Doubt that will hurt it's value any.

thanks much!

Contact Wade Phillips at [email protected] tell him Chuck referred you, he can authenticate the signature no worries.
