Title: Any feedback on the Marriah Chinook LB?
Post by: beachbowhunter on November 30, 2007, 03:09:00 PM
I love my Thermal and keep looking at pics of Ric's longbow on the Marriah website. If you have any pics I'd love to see them. How does it perform, etc?

Thanks,
Norb

Norb,
My brother has had one for around twelve years and loves it.  Ric customized the grip to make it more of a recurve/pistol style and did some fancy laminations with the limb veneers to show an arrow on both limbs (sorry I don't have pictures).  The bow performs well, is extremely smooth, quiet, and stable.  He killed a lot of critters with it the first few years he had it.  Like anything Ric makes, the craftsmanship is flawless.

Had one for awhile. Only sold it because I started making wooden bows and the poor thing just hung there all alone. It delivers an arrow with authority. His attention to detail is great!

had one too several years back. Regrettably I traded it for a t/d recurve. Beautiful longbow, but I wasn't crazy about the grip, too much like a recurve for me. Shot great though, just needed the high wrist which didn't feel natural to me. Looking back I should have modified it and re-wrapped it. Anyway, I would order another one only with a slight locator grip if I could afford another new longbow though. Ric is a great person to deal with too. - eric
