Thinking about starting a collection of black bears...first recurve I ever bought (used) and I just have a soft spot for them, plus they are cheap. I have googled a bunch and my question is this... how many variations are there? Weights, colors, lengths(?)...and if anyone has one they might be willing to give up, I might be interested.

I am not too familiar with the black bears, but they are good bows for the money, and they are not real expensive. I don't know how long they were made, or the various woods in the risers. or lengths. The biggest variations will be in the draw weights.
I know this won't help much, but it is all I got.

I have a couple of these and they are fine shooters.
My favorite is a fugly maple riser'd thing with black back and face, 60" and 50#.
Bows like this can be found for $50 or less, but threads like this is only going to drive up their prices. I better go find more Black Bears before they disappear.
