I found this bow at a local auction and even though I'm not a Bear collector, I thought it was an interesting piece. (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2002-3/14007/CAFEK-bearbow1.jpg.JPG)

Instand Archery was sold as a kit with everthing you needed to get started. Bow, arrows, tab, armguard, target face, and quiver. They probably did not make a lot of profit on them but Mr. Bear was a marketing genious. The kit got a guy into the sport cheap. If he stayed in and upgraded, the hope was that he would stay with Bear products.
Many of us oldtimers started with kits like that.
