Thats a big boy! Story to follow?
Uh, that's me. Weird, I haven't been on here since May and I click on this thread...The story was up back in May of '06. Alaska Fish & Game said that bear turned out to be 18 years old after yanking and testing the tooth.

Nice bear, nice trad bow, wood arrows, does it get any better?
WOW thats sweet, How'd I miss that story??
Yup, the circumstances in getting the shot on that bear were incredible. I spotted that bear out in the middle of a tide flat mid-day and thought "there's no way you could sneek up on him" So I told Chris "you go chase that bear, I'm gonna see if I can find a steelhead in this stream" The whole time I was thinking, "yeah whatever, that thing will spook before he get's within 100yds" Next think I know he's 10yds from this bear with his string pulled back so far he must have been anchoring behind his ear! Wham! Ran 60-70yds and died in the open!!!
A great hunt, I'll always remember it.
Now THAT is a BEAR!!! Congrats. Well Done.
