This past Saturday at 3:00pm I spotted a nice hog feeding under an oak tree(no feeders on this property)about 100 yards away.
The wind was perfect and I was able to stalk to within 10 yards. I actually wanted to shoot from a little further out but tall grass prevented it.
After the first shot(liver) the hog ran thirty yards and fell over. I put in a finishing shot to be sure.Very short but exciting hunt.
Nice boar about 150 lbs. 2" cutters.

Nice!!

Biggie,
Too heavy or too light?
In my limited experience with hogs, they typically weigh more than people guess(and deer weigh less).
If you think it's lighter it probably is.
You've certainly been around a lot more hog kills than I.
Needless to say, I'm proud regardless of the weight.Thanks.
-
Ah heck man I don't know...just pulling your leg fom the other hog weight threads :-)
Dang nice teeth and you took him the hard way!

Just the right size for my smoker. Hope you have his mouth propped open with a stick. If not, he has an awful lot of tooth up front. Congrats. Nothing like hog hunting.
