Well my 15-year old son Cody, finally got finished with the video editing, with the hours of fottage we had and made it as short as possible, just 22-minutes.
The video shows the beautiful North Western British Columbia Mountains. We saw at least 4-8 Grizzly bears per day, we couldn't leave camp till the sun was up becaause they were always on the trails.
Sixteen day trip with some rain every single day, some days, it rained all day, non-stop, but it was great.
My guide had the video camera, capturing it all as I took my moose at 15-yards with my 71# 52" Old Wooden Fred Bear Magnum Recurve.
I was lucky enought for it to make it into the Pope & Young Record Book Moose in velvet on the fifth day and a Mountain Caribou on the twelth day.
Great Country! Great Hunt, all on video!
My friend, you may know, who usually uses a long bow,"You Can't Eat the Horns" also took a good eating moose while with me on the hunt.
Moose, Caribou, Bears all throughout the video.

Hope you Enjoy it.

Nice!!! I have a moose hunt in Maine booked with Eldon Jandreau but it's not till 2010 :( ... had to book it in '06 to get the tag, these videos get me pumped!! The very first time I hunted archery, I went to Newfoundland to hunt moose and caribou. What a way to start huh? Once you hunt those animals your addicted :) , at least I was. Oh the hunt was w/ a compund in 2002 but I since have switch to traditional and own 3 bows w/ prob some more on the way... they can be addicting too :biglaugh:

Thanks to everyone for your kind words, While we all sit here after the season is over for most of us, its nice to watch and relive the hnts on video. This hunt, as all hunts are, was terrific, this year's Elk hunt was not one that I got to take a bull but got close. If your interested in both hunting and fishing videos go to my Son Cody's and my website and go to the video section for more videos to watch when you want to relax and enjoy a beer and some laughs. Go to:

and scroll down to the video and have a view.

Great video Marty! It is my dream to one day hunt Moose like that! What is your arrow setup?
-
My 71# (with my 31" draw length)52" Magnum Bear Bow wings the arrows out at nearly 225-FPS (chronographed). I was using 2213 with two-blade sawtooth Steel Force broadheads, THe arrow when through around 4.5 feet of moose, splitting the liver, one lung and spline, the arrow broke into three pieces as it penetrated and exited the animal, huge amount of damage since the SF zig zagged as it went through.I since then tried Easton 2020 but recently changed to the Easton Graphite AXIS arrows which are unbeleivable shooting them out of this bow. Best I have ever seen. Marty

hey nice job Marty, I shot a moose in 96 jsut a tad smaller than yours, sorry to say we didn't have horses, but had a boat. to bad the boat sunk in the river half way back to camp. river was only 2 feet deep so we didn't lose anything, It just made a lot of work into a whole lot of work. once again good job good patience and good hunt.
