Neat video. Hope it's not a repost.

Puts a whole new meaning to "cats vs. dogs" :scared: Thanks for the clip.

Sure does! The tide really turned when that big ol' male showed up. Course I guess that's what they do.

That was awesome !!!!

very cool video.

Some of that footage is from a documentary released a couple of years ago. This documentary, titled "Eternal Enemies" looks at a pride of lions and a hyaena pack whose homeranges overlap, their interactions and the competition for the same resources. As the videoclip suggests, the lions are not always the victors.

Thanks for the video clip. I saw a similar one on TV awhile ago. It is amazing how things change when the big boy shows up :)

I saw that documentary too. One of the best I've seen regarding the balance of power in the wild. Man I love seeing that big male running down that mongrel. Intellectually, I understand the need for hyenas but viscerally, I hate the bass turds. And I've never even met one.

I feel the same way about them, John.

some friends & i watched the video. the general consensus is that we aren't going to africa because "if i went, i'd end up hunting the hyenas instead of the animals i came to try for". don't know if it's subconcious or what, but just looking at them things gives me the willies. maybe an ancestral memory of them under the tree or outside the cave we were hiding in for the night. :scared: ps2
