So I thought I would ask you folks what your favorite camo is. Im asking what is your favorite all use camo. I have been using mossy oak break up for the last few years, and really think its to dark and you look like just a gig blob.
I also know your camo is only as good is how still you are. Just looking for peoples opinion
ASAT.
I really liked Advantage Max-1, untill I got my Browning Highlands wool. Classic...
I've gone to using pretty much all wool plaids when the weather will allow it. There is something about the way wool diffuses light that I feel really makes the difference. I have a Teresa Asbell shirt that I wear alot. As for printed camo, I always thought Predator was about the best.
Bushlan green for early and Bushlan brown for later.
Predator with King of the Mountain Autumn Brown a real close second.
ASAT and the pinnacle of ASAT is their 3D Pro Vanish suit.
But a ghillie suit is the pinnacle of all camo.
Predator all the time
MOSSY OAK!!!

I like the predator fall brown and spring green, I'm planning to get some of the Sitka Gear in asat
KOM blowdown, Autumnwood winter and Predator. IMO, most camo patterns are too dark and have too little contrast.
predator and asat.
Hunting from a tree stand in Ohio, in late October and November ,my back drop is mostly grey trees and grey sky. The Natural gear and sc2 work great. Hunting the ground I would like Predator cammo. But I do not hunt the ground often at all.
Depends where I am & what I'm using it for.
PREDATOR without a doubt. The deer look right through you.
I think camo does more for the hunters state of mind then anything. Gives you confidence. Gene Wensel shot deer wearing a Santa Claus suit so what does that tell you? Turkey's, that's a different story.
Asat is my favorite & i love it in the sitka gear. i also use the mountain mimicry but asat is my favorite.
Randy
my favorite camo pattern is realtree hardwoods but I agree it's more for my piece of mind. odor and movement will bust you everytime reguardless of what shade or color you are.
ASAT or neutral colored flannel.
The rest of my gear is pretty much a mix and match of stuff I've picked up over the years.
"Gene Wensel shot deer wearing a Santa Claus suit so what does that tell you?"...that tells me that you can kill a deer in a santa suite, but it doesn't disprove that camo doesn't work.
Yes, camo is also a state of mind, and confidence is very important, but it goes beyond that.
I've always liked Predator since the 1st time I wore it afield.

Right on Terry!
I like Mossy Oak for early season, but once the leaves are off and dead lookin' I use mainly my Gallitan Wool brown camos. Work pretty good from my experience, had more than one deer look thru me.
A hunting buddy of mine just wears old brown carharts this time of year. You might laugh but he does pretty well every year. dino
Mostly wool plaids.
When it gets colder, I have a set of the Gallatin Range wool that I wear.
Wool plaid first, ASAT second.
Ghillies work great as well.
For late season Day One Camo now sells ASAT in wool and it is great stuff and very reasonably priced.
Where does one get info on Teresa Asbell's clothing
Skyline Phantom / Predator Brown deception
Natural Gear.
Gotta tell you that I think the new Mountain Mimicry pattern that is on Sitka Gear is a very versatile pattern.
Pretty much any of it if it does not have white or light colors in it. Mossy Oak Obsession looks really cool.

Call Ron La Clair or 3 Rivers Archery.
Predator
I use whatever, but try to mix my camo patterns, like in this pic, columbia wool bibs,k-mart fleece shirt(green) , wal-mart fleece vest, and wal-mart fleece "radar cap". I figure mixing the patterns does more for breaking up my human outline than anything.Plaids work fine, or any pattern for that matter, but i don't like to wear the same pattern head to toe, no matter how good they claim it to be

depends where I'm at Here in Colorado Mossy oak seems to be an all round great pattern, But honestly regular Old Military camo patterns work great out here too,It's pretty dark and green everywhere. In nebraska I Use Real tree hardwoods, gray and brown seems to be better than the Dark stuff...
I agree with Randy- I use different camo pants and shirts and jackets.
A face mask or face paint is probably most important. The older I get though; the more I look like tree bark :(
Cabelas outfitter. All of the colors are stippled which breaks up the pattern very effectively.
Walmart flannel coat in forrest green and black plaid, $17.95.
Brian
predator deception, brown for the east and green for elk hunting and bears.
When hunting from my deck I like pressure treated as it makes me blend into the deck.
On my roof top I like
roofline.
In the backyard sometimes I just throw on the weber grill cover.
Leg
Predator fall brown in wool for cool to cold weather and Predator spring green for early season and spring bear and turkey. Mike
Natural Gear
Burnsie
Have ASAT,Predator and nat gear. Like them all
I have been using digital camo while elk hunting this past fall.Seemed to work pretty well. Definately would like to get some more Sitka Gear, especially if they had the line available in some digital camo. T
I wear a different design on top and bottom.
ASAT is my favorite design.
Merino wool is my favorite material.
I camo my hands with gloves and face with either a mask or charcoal.
I made a vest of wool camo similar to blaze ASAT, but without the black (which isn't legal in Saskatchewan's rifle season). I used a combination of the legal colours: white, crimson, bright yellow (chartreuse), and blaze orange. My cap is the same - minus the white. Using B/W digital photos, it looks VERY close to my ASAT 3D-Vanish Pro suit (but with white for our snow seaon). It's highly visible at long range, but last week-end a massive muley buck walked past 12-15 yards in front of me and didn't spook until he was directly downwind ...and even then he only stotted a bit, and returned to walking.
anything the deer cant see ya in :biglaugh:
Predator camo without question. I've had deer at 15 yeards looking at me in the dead open and hadn't a clue I was there.
