I checked the trail-cam this morning and was stumped by one of the pics. I've never seen anything like this. My camera is heat activated so I'm even more perplexed by the pic. As you can clearly see there is no legs or feet below the light spot. My best guess would be a nighttime bull bat but even after alteration of the photo I still cannot make out what this is. I'd love to hear your best guess. There were no other pics from last night beside this one. The pic is from one of my food plots at the house. CK

Do you still have the original unaltered pic?
-
Yea, thats it! It's simply downsized to comply with the rules. iT COULD EASILY BE CUT-N-PASTED OR i'LL SEND THE ORIGINAL TO SOMEONE WHO CAN DOCTOR IN SOME SERIOUS LIGHT. Damn caplocks! CK
-
My wife would truthfully say it's an orb. I have had some very similar pics. She creeps me out sometimes.

tresspasser running with flashlight?
-
I messed with it all across the scale. Not enough in the picture to really do much with it. My guess would be a moth or miller close to the lens and the camera was focused on something farther out thus the blur of focus combined with motion.
-
That's what I was thinking, a moth very close in.
-
Scouting probe sent in by some high tech deer?
-
How about a lighted sight pin or a Lumenok?
-
Reflective TradGang arrow wrap on its way to dispatch a hog. :D
-
An arrow should have shown up in the editing I did with it. The white piece is stand alone and the back ground is true black with nothing that will show up in it beyond the grass showing. The object is close to the camera.
-
Border Bob On a BEER RUN :scared: :scared:
-
At first look it looks father from the camera. But like Vermonster says I think its close. Probably a bug lit up by the flash. Might have landed on the sensor.
That or its aliens!
-
how far are you from Roswell Curtis..ZLOL :scared: :knothead: :goldtooth:
-
You've seen a sightin'
Talk to a Yooper or watch Escanaba in da Moonlight to understand.
ChuckC

Javelina with a cyalume. His buddys are in the cactus laughing. Slow down your shutter speed and see if he is writing a message.
-
is that camera set up in a trailer park.. :readit:
-
I have had pictures like that, most likely a moth or other such insect. They move quite a bit, hence the blur. The camera was probably triggered by a larger animal that just cruised through before it had a chance to get it picture taken (I would assume the game cam probably has a 1.5 - 3 second delay from the time the sensor is triggered and the camera actually takes a pic), and the moth was in the view when the camera did strike :D
-
dirt on lens, reflect the flash light.
grass is no vibration in pic,but white spot vibrate visibly,so , white spot just on the surface of your lens.
-
Sorry Curtis. It was me and my brother foolin' with ya'. He threw the Bud can challenging me to try and trigger the camera before it hit the ground. It's spinning pretty fast and about 20 yards out so it'skinda blurry. I bet him his truck I could do it. I'll show him the proof and then get the title. It's a 4WD Tundra extended cab. Decent enough hunting truck for a rice burner. Made in Indiana ya know? Thanks for posting!
-
It a moth on the lens
-
Curtis,
I get those on my camera all the time. Recently as cold weather has set in I don't get them anymore so my guess is big bug! I have transferred them over to photo shop a couple of times and enhanced but still comes back as a white spot/flash.

Flying Tecate.
-
So, yall think it may be a Alien killing a javelina with a cylume stick while he tosses back a few Bud Lites before the Orbs come to sweep up? Or was it a trailer park Alien in a jousting match with a moth wrapped in Tradgang reflective stuff?
I think yall might be getting close!
-
Chupacabra.
-
I would have to go with a moth as well. Since its dark out the camera will have a slow shutter speed making the moth be blurred like that. I would think that something else most likely set off the camera though. Possible a running animal or a bat or bird flying by.

Big Bird dropping

Willow O the Wisp

Space alien for sure.
-
Yup, you could practically superimpose these two images.

Whatever it is, I'd kill it just to be safe.
-
It could be my ex wife's "people" come to bring her back home
-
I have no idea what it could be but I hope we don't figure it out anytime soon . . . I'm enjoying the speculation too much!!!!
Too Funny!!

Too funny, Lenny...

Was Dennis Kucinich in Texas about the time that pic was taken?
-
After a survey of all your very intelectual answers I've decided I'll be very sneaky and try to get another pic of this elusive object. Can we call it an object? Maybe it's not an object but instead a thingy or a sumthin-or-nuther. Possibly a watchamacallit? I guess I'm not sure so I'll just set the cameras back up, beef the flash up with some extra electricity and see if we can get something more solid to work with. More to come. :D CK
-
Did that cooks wife have a diamond in her navel???
-
Shame!
I think I need to get half of Scifres title to the truck. I've had time to think. :D
-
beef the flash up with some extra electricity and see if we can get something more solid to work with. More to come. CK :scared: I see a shocking experience in Curtiss' future :bigsmyl:
-
Li'lfedder is NOT the one we should be encouraging to mess around with any electricals. :scared:
-
Killdeer: for shame :)
I notice in the picture that there are vehicle tracks. If a vehicle drove by would your camera take a picture of it? Could the light have been from something on or in the vehicle if there was one?
It does seem the right height off the vehicle tracks to have been from the cab area of a vehicle.
What kind of vehicles do moths drive in your area?
-
I didn't think your home made feather burners made a 'lone' spark. From what I've read it's more like bunches.
Dennis
-
might be the ghost of some dead pig!
-
Ok, ok...I've got it. Some swamp gas got mixed up with an electrical discharge from the planet Venus all of which caused a spark for a small time in front of the camera.
-
The first thing I thought of when I saw Lenny's cleaned up photo was Randy Quaid in Independence Day...
-
I'm with Killy...don't be encouraging that boy to do a Tim Taylor and ramp up his flash ...no sir... catsasstrophy coming for sure.
-
Tinker Deer :bigsmyl:
-
Humm? This is gettin wierd! Look what I got last night. No other pics. I'm gettin kinda skerd. Wish I hadn't seen the enhanced space ship photo. I'm not gonna sleep tonight. :scared:

-
Whatever it is, it only has ONE EYE!
-
That's the light of one of them drill rigs :D
-
With the imagination some of you obviously have I'd love to read some of your fictitious hunting stories.
You guys are killing me here! I can't read this thread but once per day. It takes me that long to recover. I think we need to turn this into a contest.

This is the guy that takes pictures of strange flying objects??
