I'm very proud to be able to say that Hope has made meat once again. She certainly is gaining mojo as she travels. Someone is going to get one fine bow this year on the St Judes Auction. Rick makes a fine bow that shoots well. As you can see the bow is deadly. I took this pig with a 160 gr Snuffer on an AD Trad heavy. I've got some time left with Hope and I'm "Hope'n" to get another porker before I send her on. Thanks to all involved. CK

Awesome CK
What's a porker like that weigh dressed out? Congrats, Chad
Congrats CK!
I had the good fortune to shoot her at ETAR this year, and Rick sure does build a fine shootin bow!
Thank goodness! I am SO glad my anti-mojo dodn't spoil her! :o

Nice CK!! Can't wait to see more pork on the ground!
Awesome bud, congrats on another fine hog!
Tell me what you think about the big snuffer on hogs......
Way to go bro!!! Where's the sandwich? :wavey: :goldtooth:
Great hog, great bow - great job! :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
Nice Piggy!!! My moneys always on you Curtis when it comes to bringin home the bacon.
The hog weighed somewhere between 125-140#. Hard to tell weight on hogs sometime. This one was a little heavy for his frame. He had so much fat on him that he was had to gut. The gut cavity was half fat.
Snuffers on hogs? Humm, How to put this lightly?????I'll try this snuffer again but the hole wasn't very deep with the first hog. The 160 is an enormous head and I really don't shoot enought bow weight to get a through and through hole like I like. It sure makes a big hole but even this hole filled up with fat and bearly left a blood trail. Not the broadheads fault but instead the fat hogs fault. For the best hog blood trails I still say the big two blades getting an offside exit hole is the way to go. Of course it's the personal decisions in this sport that make us all individually different(in a good way).
Truth comes out......This is actually the second hog Hope has killed since her arrival here. What Charlie is talking about when he says "where's the sandwich". I had a Sow with a bunch of small hogs come through twice the other night. I couldn't bring myself to orphan the small pigs but I didn't want to loose the opportunity to have Hope make meat so I shot a small pig. I didn't think the pics would go over well on-line so I didn't take even one picture. Sure is going to make some fantastic grilling though. So, the rest of the story........
I'll be after a giant Boar this evening. My wife watched him and about 35 other hogs last night mulling around in a creek bottom close to where she was hunting. She couldn't get a clean shot so I'm going in this evening and see what I can make happen. I'll put the snuffer back up front on Harl's last carbon arrow. Hopefully pics by nightfall. Thanks for the positive comments! CK
Steadman, you better get down here and get your half of the trade-a-hunt while I have hundreds and hundreds of hogs available on this place. The gun hunters have run them out of all the properties around me and the pigs think they've found solice in a place with no guns firing. They need to condition their ears to the wistle of the big snuffer now. :bigsmyl:
I've not made a hunt on this new property when I've not seen at least 35-50 hogs a hunt. They'll disperse back out after deer gun season is over.
Dave, Thanks! CK
Good luck Bud!! Go getim.
Best of Luck!
Shoot straight and be safe...
