Title: What kind of bow is this?

Its listed in the local flyer as a  recurve but I think its a longbow?

Also the reason im asking is because im looking into getting  alongbow and this one is a very good price

Technically, it's a longbow. We used to call them 'semi-recurves' or 'long curves'. That one looks nice.

It's a longbow young sir. It might also be called a semi-recurve if it's an older bow. Some of the older longbows were called that.

Since it has some outward curve to its limbs, like the reflex/deflex longbows of today, it might look like a recurve. However, it is technically a longbow since the string only touches the limbs at the points where the string is attached to the limb. If the string ran along the surface of the limb for a ways it would be a recurve.

Alright its listed as a "semi recurve" it a really good price and I hope my mom can get it for me
