I want to warn ya'll right now, before you read on, cover up your keyboard and put on a bib cause it would be a shame to short circuit your puter with all the drool! Now, that you've been warned........... I think it was on the '06 Texas Sweat Hunt, Charlie mentioned to me that he was thinking about building bows again, on a very limited basis. Of course, I replied "Put me down for one when and if one becomes available" and thought to myself, yeah right, when pigs fly. Well I get a call last week asking "Are you ready for your Sunbear?" I just about fell off my chair. Heck yes I'm ready for my Sunbear!!! It seems that Mr. Lamb missed weight on the St. Jude's bow and as the saying goes, the rest is history. It ain't here yet but it is on the way. Now I've seen a lot of purty bows and even owned one or two but I have never, and I mean never, seen one that could hold a candle to this one. Did I mention that I love yellar wood? Ye Ha!!!! Just remember, I warned ya'll to cover your keyboards.................So, whacha think?

Thats one of the best looking bows I've seen in a long time. The combination of woods could not be better....You're a lucky man, Bob....Skyler got to see a genuine Charlie Lamb Sunbear in action a few weeks ago... (http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k209/rickybob_2006/CIMG1080.jpg)
I just wanna sit down a BAWL :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
Them Sunbears could almost make me shoot a recurve again.
Dang nice work, Charlie.
WOW! WOW! Did I say WOW!
That is one great looking bow!
Bob, You sir are a lucky man! Very nice work Charlie! :notworthy: I have got to have one of those. Now i just need to sweet talk Charlie! :goldtooth:
Nice Bob!
Well done Charlie!
nice one bro!!! good on ya charlie.
Bob,
What goes around comes around: It could not have gone to a more deserving person. Now remove those pictures so the price for next year's auction bow (if Charlie donates another one) doesn't go through the roof. I would like to have a reasonable chance at getting one of those bows.
Walt, I couldn't agree with you more on what you said about Bob. He is one very deserving person and Charlie that is one beautiful piece of work you have done there sir.
Beautiful bow. Awesome craftsmanship Charlie. If I had 1% of the talent you have I'd probably scare myself!
I would dearly love to own one of Charlie's Sunbears. Sweet looking bows.
Danny
Chuck, If you ever happen to cut one out on the wrong side...can I be the first in line? :notworthy: :clapper:
I've long wanted a one pc. bow for hunting around here.....nothing would be better than a "Sunbear"
Bob, you are now the envy of all of Trad Gang....good for you bud :clapper:
I am thinkin you cant shoot that bow. Untill you send it to me for some field testing :bigsmyl: That is a looker. Good work Charlie!
Bob, you lucky dog! I'm not a recurve guy, but that Sunbear would convert me - beautiful bow, Charlie!
Very nice
Well Bob, It ain't fair!! You take the Biggest Bear at Quebec Quest...now you'll be shootin' a Sunbear. I'm going fishin' this year just can't compete against that karma  Doc
Oh Mercy!!
Next "missed weight" bow 53 @ 28 please. Nice work Charlie and lucky you Bob.
Stunning bow...Good for you Bob. Perhaps all this interest will convince Charlie to make a few more!?
Looks like you got a winner there Bob. Great looking bow Charlie.
Maybe we need to start up a petition letter for Charlie to start making them Sunbears again? :knothead: Thats the prettiest bow here.
Gil
Bob,,,thanks for the preview of the bow. My son is going to be shooting Charlie's Saint Jude bow. Can not wait to see it.

Wow. WOW! WOW!!!!!!!! Simply stunning is all I can say! You are indead a very lucky man Bob, but you made your own luck through all the things you have done, so it is very well deserved.
Nice work Charlie! That's one of the nicest looking bows I've ever seen.
Wow,I can only say "absolutely stunning"
Bob all you have to do now is spray paint it camo  :scared:
:biglaugh:
Just beautiful Bob!!! I can't wait to shoot it in Quebec! :goldtooth:
I want to thank ya'll for all the kind comments. Yep, Charlie sure knows what he's doing! Can't wait to get my hands on her!!
Pat B. - MAYBE an '08 Ferrari would get consideration, LOL!
Danny - She's 62" and 63@28 which will put her about 66 at my 29" draw.
Doc - Now you know I just had to get a bow to match that knife of your's that I won in Quebec. Good thing you capped the antler with osage! I also had to, in the words of our brother JC, Cash a BIG karma check for this one!!
Steve - You got it, bro....
she's a beauty for sure but don't let Rowan know the specs. that man has way to many bows :D
LOL, Brian, he already posted the specs and a man can never have too many bows. I gotta try and Sweet Talk Charlie into building me one,LOL.
Danny
Bob you did hit the lottery! Man that's PURTY!! Nice work Charlie!
Cool, maybe I'll get to see this one in person at the VA squirrel hunt?!
NICE! Congrats Bob, and Charlie, nice to see you making bows again!
:notworthy: :notworthy:
Congrats Again Bob. VERY Nice work Charlie.
Oh my!!!
Bob if you won the lottery where can I buy some tickets !! , that's a beautiful bow . I beleive Charley has more talent then he thinks . Congrats , Fred
Want to thank everyone for the compliments on the bow. Especially want to thank Chris Surtees for being such a patient person. The St. Jude's bow will be done shortly, bud.
A miscalculation in limb specs lead to this bow being to far over weight to work it down to the weight Chris requested.
I'll be making more recurves and maybe even a lefty in the bunch. Also manage to turn out a selfbow now and then... which turn out to be a lot less stressful.
Once again, thanks guys! I hated to see this one go.
:wavey:
:notworthy:
I don't reckon a nicer bow could've gone to a better guy :notworthy: :notworthy:
I'm impressed but not surprised. Beautiful work and a bow that shows it.
You are a blessed man for sure.
THAT is a nice looking bow!!!! Great job Mr. Lamb
So if you miss weight again and it comes out at say 55 at 28, Kansas City is not that far away. I will pick it up!!!
WOW Bob you are one lucky man. BTW did Nick get his bow yet?
:bigsmyl:
